Where the data comes from
All data on Public IQ is sourced from Australian government and statutory authority releases under their respective open-data licences. We never re-license or paywall public data — every figure is citation-ready.
Each suburb profile cites its sources inline. If a number looks off, tell us — we audit against the originating agency.

Public IQ is operated by the team behind brokeriq, a free mortgage-broker matching service for Australian home buyers. When you click "Plan a home loan with brokeriq" from a suburb profile, you're handed off to brokeriq with the suburb context, where you can opt in to be matched with a local mortgage broker. Brokers pay brokeriq a referral fee if a loan is settled — that pays for the public-data infrastructure here.
We never sell your data. We never include sponsored suburbs in our rankings. We never paywall a number that's public.
